When I speak to you don’t ask me,
Ask yourself; lets all just do a self-evaluation,
As I go I will do the same,
You don’t have to raise your hand,
Are leave your seat,
Just let me take this time to speak,
How much do you love your church?
Do you love your church enough to know that it needs help?
That means from the front door to the pastors study,
Do you love your church enough to know that we are all sisters and brothers?
Do you love your church to know that we should continually encourage one another?
Do you love your church enough until you will take time?
To come to an evening program and just help out,
Maybe you love your church enough to know that if there is paper on the floor,
You pick it up because that’s what you do at your own house,
Do you love your church enough that you left the sign unchanged all week?
I know we all read it because we passed by daily,
What if that sign was the only daily devotional that some person had?
And if they read it one more time they would turn their life to Christ,
Do you believe that you will be held responsible?
Do you love your church enough to know?
That when one does something that needs as much support as available,
Do you plan to help are will you stand around with some complaints.
Do you love your church enough to know that we all need to give a hand?
Do you realize that in order to make good church we have to work together?
Do you leave early and find other things to do?
So you just want have to help out the crew.
Do you then complain when somebody want help you?
Have you ever had a day off from work?
And instead of attending your church you chose,
To spend the day at home,
You said today I just want to be alone,
Well do you know that in Acts 2:42,
The apostles continued after Jesus left His spirit,
To fellowship and break bread and pray together,
Well what has happened to you, and me.
Do you ever feel that you have wore the same dress every week,
And you need a new dress so you stay home ?
Do you love your church enough?
When something is broken if it needs fixing,
The pastor or the deacons don’t need to call you?
Do you get it fixed are do you think of a way you can quickly feed your family,
Where is your faith what happened to?
Seek and ye shall find knock and the door shall be opened,
Ask and it shall be given.
Do you know that if we don’t come together?
We are all going to miss a blessing,
We are all going to be left behind.
Do you grumble and complain when a sister are brother,
Calls you up to give a hand on a church project,
Do you come to church and say sometimes,
“Oh I wish I would have just stayed home today,
The preacher didn’t preach good anyway”
Well with that attitude you got what you brought,
Ever think about it that way,
How many of you feel that your church is your home?
How many of you feel that from the pastor to the people that clean the toilets,
We are all sisters and brothers,
How many of you know that not one person in here,
Is to good to give the toilet cleaner a break,
We should all be working together as one,
But guess what….
We all grumble and complain,
We all gossip and we hurt each others feelings,
We say we are Christians but we do things,
That to our father I don’t believe are appealing,
We say we love the community,
But yesterday when we had the church picnic,
A lot of us stayed home,
Some of us complained and grumbled,
Why can’t we come together in love?
Why can’t we come together as one?
But we say we love the father and His only begotten son,
We all complain about this and that,
We are all a blessed people,
We shouldn’t have to go out and hire,
Anybody to do anything for the church,
God said he would supply our every need,
Then if we need a piano player,
He will provide if we need a drum player he will provide,
He will provide a guitar player if we need one,
People to clean and people to repair,
All we need to do is pray and ask, and it will be given,
Don’t take your gifts for granted,
They all come from Christ, if he wants,
He can take each and every one of them away,
And I see him doing it to,
Because we are so out there we don’t pray,
Everything we do for our church we want pay,
And with god’s gift that’s not the way,
If you have a voice to sing you want to be begged,
If you have a poem to read you have to be tugged,
Well when God feels that you feel,
That your being bugged he will remove your gift,
Now search yourself and see where you are,
If you find yourself in this poem I did to,
It wasn’t me it is something God has for you, and me
We need to pray for each other,
Whether it be your sister are brother,
Go ahead do it now,
Don’t be stiff necked and heart of stone,
Did my Jesus die for a cause,
If we answer yes then we need to act like it,
We need to praise his name no matter what it takes,
No matter how long it takes,
I may have to pray a little longer and harder than you,
Because of what he brought me through,
I don’t know what he did for you,
But thank God he has brought us all through,
Don’t let the traditions that you have made at the church,
Send you to hell and some of us the way we are acting,
We are surely on our way,
Lets change and do better not tomorrow but today…
