Grief
Where art thou, O elusive one?
I searched for you –
In the warm rays of the sun.
Where dost thou hide from me?
I failed to find you –
In the stillness of the sea…
You remain – an enigma…
Like the fluttering of a butterfly
A brief flash of colour
Or, a gentle whiff from a flower
Just a wistful thought
Which, my troubled soul – tirelessly sought…
You do not belong
To the spirit of this world
Nor to its noisy clang of laughter
Which causes my spirit to falter
I know – you wait for me
Somewhere beyond – this stormy sea…

There is a certain elegance to your poem that takes it out of the ordinary. One finds peace on reading it. Well done.
