"Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved."
Psalm 55:22 NKJV
My tears just keep coming, but I know this is a time that God is taking the control out of my hands, and He has it all in His hands. God is always in control. I know that I am to
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let my (your) requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard my (your) heart(s) and mind(s) through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV
I practice the prayer, supplication and praise parts daily on my own and with my husband, and weekly with my Moms in Touch friends. I am giving it all fully to God. I am slowly drawing closer to God again, instead of pushing Him away. His peace and love will sustain me.
I know that I need to be strong, and be a good mom for my son, and for my daughter and younger son. My husband and I are hurting, but we need to love and support our son. Our son doesn't have a demon inside him, as the child of the father in Mark 9. He isn't on drugs. He isn't an alcoholic. He is not a Prodigal Son. He is going to be a father, and he is going to marry the mother of his child. He almost is not a teenager anymore, but it did happen before he is married, and before he has completed college. He has no job. His focus was suppose to be on school and baseball right now. The hard part for us is the unknown of how he is going to support a wife and baby, and just the unknown of his future. So, I do claim the verses, Mark 9:23-24 NKJV:
Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."
Immediately the father of the child cried and said with tears, "Lord, I believe, help my unbelief!"
I, by no means have a perfect past. I have made terrible mistakes. Our son is a Christian, and we were just hoping, as all parents do, that none of our children would have premarital sex. Now that our lives have changed in this way, we need to accept it as a blessing and be there to love and support our child.
"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16 NKJV
Are you facing a crisis, or just the everyday stresses of life in this world?
"Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved."
Psalm 55:22 NKJV
Dear Father, Please help us to daily give our burden to you and trust You to bring us through. Thank you for how you always take care of us.

I know that you must be experiencing many fears right now but be assured, God has your sons whole life planned out! He saw him before he was born and he can see his last day. God has his eye on your son and will make something beautiful from a situation that in this moment, leaves you fearful. Keep praying. God always listens. Hand him your child and trust him with your grandchild. Both of these family members are yours and his.... he knows what is best. Rest in him.
Know that sometime shortly, you will hold your grandchild and what a blessing that will be!
When you finally get that moment, breathe in that new little life. I'm certain that every other fear and concern will quickly fade away. In the meantime, embrace your new daughter in law and keep trusting God. As I said, he has our every move planned and always knows what is best.
Sandy, I'm lost for words as I was reading what you just shared with us. I don't know what to say, but I can pray. As a mom myself with two children who are both in that vulnerable age, I have worries of the unknown too. But as always, I find solace in the comfort and assurance from God's promises that our Lord Jesus will not leave us nor forsake us. Yes, He is in control for He is an All-Knowing God. Keep on trusting and sharing for His glory. And welcome to Faithwriters!! In Christ's love, Gloria
