When you trudge along
Deep and dark forests;
When the thorns, crush out the song
From your wounded heart
When you are blinded by your tears…
Turn around, and search among the thorns
Let your eyes see those roses
He's placed for you, among those thorns.

When darkness is all around
And, you stumble in your path;
When fear and despair abound
And, your life seems to be at stake
When He seems so far away…
Open your heart, and look through the darkness
Let your eyes see that ray of hope
He's sent for you, through the darkness.

When fingers point your way
And, you feel forsaken by the world;
When they wish to make you pay
For your little failures
When the glories of this world are denied…
Pause awhile, and listen through the din
Let your soul perceive the peace
He's gifted you – through all the din.
