Don't give up He has you covered!
"Don't give up!", "Hang in their!", "You'll make it" and the list goes on. These are some of the lines my friends used in the past to encourage me many times, but I couldn’t hear them. Why? I had the wrong focus. The wrong focus will make you miss what you are looking for.
*What is challenging you right now? It could be a situation at your job, maybe some tension in a relationship, a spiritual matter or any problem in particular. It really doesn’t matter. The solution is the same for all. Trust God, wait in him and don't be discourage by what you feel, see or hear. Yes, that is easier said that done, but it is possible. It is not easy to ignore what our senses tell us with such loud voices. What makes a difference is your focus. The more we stay on focus, the easier it is to wait. And if we wait and don't get weary we have a guaranteed answer from God. Alleluia!
*It's hard to wait in silence all alone in the middle of a dark room. Don't allow yourself to be placed in a situation where you feel hopeless and at the mercy of what ever comes your way as if you have no control. You do have control. The odds are on your side and you are not alone in the dark. The Holy Spirit was placed on this earth to be your helper, to refresh you with God's word and strengthen you with power. Believe what God said is true. If you don't quit you will see your due season.
*The word of God not only encourages you, but also gives you assurance. Find what it says about your situation and build your faith up so that you don't get weary. Not getting weary is the only determining factor for you to receive an answer from God. It's not the enemy or the loud voices that decides your fate, but you. Greater is he that is in you! You have a spirit of power within you. You have the word of God for direction. Don't give up. It is easy to give up. The closer your answer the more tempted you might feel to do just that, but always remember that there is a reward for those who wait in the Lord.
*Once you hang in there and get your first victory you will see that it can be done. It will help you stand in faith in future situations. It will help you when you encourage someone else. You know you can do it! Hang in there! Don’t quit! That is all God is asking from you. He will do the rest. Trust more in God’s faithfulness and ability to see you thru and not on your own strength or ability to stand firm. He has you covered, just don’t quit!
*To Your Heart *
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Gal 6:9
