I walked outside to a mid-winter surprise, for the cold seemed to have run away; and in its place was a warm spring morning, waiting for me to come out and play.

The world had been washed with rain overnight, the dampness still covered the ground, and I looked as I walked and saw everywhere, little hints of the spring waiting to be found.

The blades of grass stood straight and tall, with a fresh new shade of green, and this morning they seemed to have a new glow, each one had its own special sheen.

The trees seemed to stretch their branches to the sky, even though they were still bare of leaves, for the warm air coaxed the chill from the bark, so they could dance in the breeze.

The birds were exuberant, their songs filled the air, the breeze blew them here and there, each note a part of their song of praise, one they just had to share.

I love days like these, they only come now and then, when everything has an inner glow, and the whole world seems to have a secret, one that only they know.

But if you listen, the world around you will whisper it in your ear, and then you'll see everything a new way, and everything will become clear.

This bountiful world spread out before my eyes, as far as I can see, was created by my loving Father-God, fashioned especially for me.

The grass tells me so, waving their blades so green, the birds sing it wild and free, the trees are reaching far up in the sky - saying 'let's all thank God for making me!'

There's something about a warm day in mid-winter that lets you know that it's true, that if God can make all the wonders around me, He certainly can make dreams come true.

And I give thanks again, for He's done just that, looked deep in my heart and
knew that the dream I had, He was going to bring about, and He did the day
I first met you.

You were like the warm spring day in the winter of my life, bringing such joy and love that I knew right away that you were my gift, sent from my Father-God above.

Now in my heart, it's spring every day, no matter what the weather may do, and I spend my days finding a thousand new ways to show you how much I love you!
