Pray for Your Family

In the early morning hours, while i was still asleep, my mind was taken to the house where i grew up. However, the location was not south central Nebraska but somewhere in the Middle East. Or, it may have even been in the area of India or Pakistan.

Both parents were home, with my mother in the kitchen and my father sitting by the living room window which has a view to the street. As my father and i watched the passing traffic it changed from cars and trucks into military tanks and equipment. An obvious change was taking place in the government and we were now being subjected to another authority. The exact cause for such martial action in unknown, yet the maneuvers did not stop. My father and i continued to watch out the window, however we seemed to be at peace in the midst of the strife.

Then i was taken to a very large room which was not a part of the house that i had just occupied. There were at least 5 long tables with people filling nearly every chair. We were concluding a time of food and fellowship. Now for most of us, this is a common setting for believers, but i sensed that each of the attendees was related to me, although i was from the U.S. and they were from the countries i have described above. One young lady had a baby about 3-4 months old and she was my sister. We talked for awhile then decided to go for a walk. As we made our way outside a river was before us and as we waded in the fast flowing, yet shallow waters, i remarked, "At least the water is warm."

She dunked her baby in the water and then pulled the infant back out. The baby seemed to enjoy the fun although i was concerned about possible drowning. We continued to talk and walk in the river. Again, there seemed to be unrest in the surroundings, yet peace in our hearts.

As i awoke from the dream i asked, "Lord, what does it mean?"

He immediately replied, "Pray for your family!"

i thought, "What family?" Then i realized that He was speaking of those in my dream.

Again i asked, "How can i pray for them if i do not know them and am not even sure what country they are from?"

He replied, "You just need to pray, I will know which ones your prayers are for. You have many members in your family, you just need to pray."

And, so i did ... and am. i have no names, just unidentified faces ... yet i pray for my family.
