Is His grace sufficient?
When Paul was afflicted and sought God for relief the LORD told Paul "My grace is sufficient for you: for My strength is made perfect in weakness." (2Corinthians 12:9)
His grace is still ample. When your child is at war over seas or in the playground rest on God's favor. As the enemy seeks to destroy your marriage you can depend on the mercy of your Father. When you are ill or in pain, still trust God. Even as bill collectors are calling you, the Most High hears your calls for help. Though troubles may come, with the LORD’s goodwill you will not be overcome. You will have liberation.
The LORD cares about every aspect of your life. He is not aloof or unloving. Allow the Counselor to comfort and pour out His grace for you.
The holy One doesn't always get us out of our dilemmas, but He will always get us through them. Joseph was accused and imprisoned until his destiny came to. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were not taken out of the fiery furnace, but with the LORD they not only survived, but didn't even smell of smoke. When Paul and Silas were chained they prayed and praised the LORD and the chains came off. God's favor was sufficient for them all.
God's grace is just as strong today in your life. Though you may not see Jesus in the furnace with you, He is there. The LORD sees and knows your pain and wants to ease your discomfort and take away your sadness. Not always by getting you out of the circumstance, but by supporting you on your way.
When you suffer the Lord feels your pain as only the suffering Messiah can. Jesus already bore your pain and took your afflictions upon Himself. Even Jesus felt abandoned for a moment. But God was still with His Son. The suffering Servant did not suffer for long.
Grace is defined as spontaneous favor, approval, acceptance or compassionate treatment of suffering. God's grace is the favor of the Most High in your life.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)
Praising the LORD can ease your brokenness. Worship is the cure for doubt. His Words are His promises for you to rely on. His grace is sufficient.
PS While writing this I had a sudden knowing that I was soon to be tested on my own reliance of God's grace. That test came the very next day in the form of food poisoning. While gripping the bed rail in pain, praise seemed far from me. As I tried to force out a hymn, I was crying to God for grace to get me through. I made it through, long before any medicine was given, my pain diminished. Yes, I know His grace is sufficient!
