Simple Pleasures of Life

Life so busy, life so hectic,
a lot of people are becoming workaholic
Money became so important,
turning individuals to be materialistic,
They want bigger houses,
sophisticated gadgets.

In spite of all the things in life
It is still dull for many husbands and wives,
They keep seeking pleasures,
though pleasures are just within
their reached.

Simple pleasures of life
are sometimes the best
The laughter of a child, the smile of a spouse,
the soft, classical music,
The good morning kiss of a teenage son,
whose hair seemed to have been electrocuted.

Added to these,
are clean sheets that you put on the bed,
The laundry on the line
that is being blown by the breeze,
The sunshine that warms your frigid face,
And the flowers in the garden
that make you feel blessed.

Life is sweet;
we have to enjoy it to the fullest,
It is truly God’s PERFECT GIFT.
