In times of disaster the skeptics arise,
Where oh where is God and wondering why?
Why? Would a God of love and compassion.
Allow such calamity and devastating action.

Out of ignorance a blind heart will speak,
Not knowing quite, what it seeks,
Does he really want to know the reasons why,
Or is he just hiding behind the fear in his eye.

Pointing fingers looking to place the blame,
Finding fault to keep from going insane,
Searching and stumbling through the darkness inside,
Like a wind swept leaf, on an uncertain ride.

God is not a man that He should lie,
He has no reason for us to die,
God needs no advocate, no human defense,
He needs no alibi’s for us to make sense.

He is God and He sits on His throne,
Just waiting to make His presence known,
He is the God of mercy, the sacrificial lamb,
He is who He is, and that is I AM.

When the world is uncertain and chaos abounds,
I can tell you where God can be found,
He’s found in the silence right after the storm,
He is the spark that ignites the Hope, that is born.
