Snowflakes
Have you ever felt cold when the Sun’s shining bright?
Or felt a little frightened in the broad daylight?
Have you been with lots of people and felt all alone?
Or woke up feeling angry with a Heart made of stone?
Have you ever seen Snowflakes as they fell from the sky?
Or caught them on mittens as they drifted right by?
Every one of them is different, just like you and me,
A special piece of sculpture wrought by God so carefully
Happy days and gloomy days, The good and the bad,
Days that take your breath away and nights that make you sad
The beauty and the pain of the life we live below,
Is feeling the great highs and the sorrow bearing lows
I know its sometimes difficult for you and I to see
But there’s always rays of sunshine after bouts of misery
So when you see a snowflake and you’re feeling kind of blue,
Catch them on your mittens and compare a flake or two
As one begins to melt away and others come to life,
So comes bright and glorious days and those with pain and strife
As quickly as the snow flakes shed their cold and melt away,
God takes pain and suffering and all our cares away!
