I could soar,
On the lofty graces,
Of Your love;
Outside the beauty of this,
I don’t know,
Who I am.

Yet in my wretchedness,
I’m in danger,
Of a heart growing cold;
Reach out to me, Father,
As You always have,
Extend the glory of Your grace.

I desire Your awesome light,
In mercy let me dwell within;
It is my need and desire;
In holiness, I’m happy,
My heart reels when,
Near Yours in submission.

Enslave me, tie me down,
With Your grace and purpose;
I’m here to enjoy You;
Your love, it does quiet me;
For Jesus’ sake You rejoice,
Over my pleasing You.

Give me nothing if not with You;
Life is very gray;
Without the God of my life;
I do not impress You;
Yet because of who You are,
I’ve touched You with Your Word.

For the reality that is Jesus,
Give me my heart’s need and want;
I rejoice in Your name;
All I want is You;
I ache for Your very Spirit,
Thirsting for Your presence.

Put me in my place,
Kneeling at Your throne,
Basking in Your holy beauty;
You seek to corner me,
Bridle me with Your Word,
Strengthen me with Your joy!

What is my comfort,
Is it not You alone?
Your will, my food;
Secure me in Your plan,
Make me find safety,
In the fear of You.

All that I ask I know from You;
You’ve spoken to me in Truth,
I’ve asked for what You’ll give;
You will give, gracious Father,
Even as You gave me my Lord,
Beyond what I’ve asked or thought.

Surprise me then, Lord,
With grace and joy unknown,
With mercies newly unfolding;
That I may praise You,
And exalt our living God;
Exhorting others to Your love.

You’ve give me gifts,
To keep by giving away,
To wreck a darkened kingdom;
With Truth, let me destroy lies,
With life, let me shame death,
With His way, let me lead!

Let me not rest, my Lord,
Until my foot rests,
On the throat of Your enemies;
Let me go home to You,
Only after I’ve extended,
Your love to Your chosen ones.

I am Your soldier,
Because of my Christ,
Sharing in His sufferings;
All I want, precious Father,
To touch Your glory,
And know Your name.
