A race of a thousand miles
Starts with just a step.
When God spoke to me,
I heard and moved.

Along the way,
Many Voices came up
But I could still hear God’s voice:
Though momentary, very calm and faint.

I could also hear loud and incessant voices
Urging me to stop over and rest.
I entered the rest room.
This is heaven – a place to stay forever!

I relaxed my nerves, immersed myself in the life in there.
Momentarily, there springs up the gentle voice
Reminding me of my mission and destination.
I ignored the voice and kept cruising life.

My fellow contestants came and passed me by,
I did not notice whey they passed;
For I went in to take a rest.
Oh! This little heaven has deceived me!

As I see my fellow contestants with their trophies,
I regretted stopping over to rest.
I would have listened when I was reminded
To be focused and move on.
