Christian Living
I have a paper heart,
It’s actually nothing to be ashamed of.
It’s actually pretty simple, let me explain:
When my heart was a pile of rubble and stone,
God could not write on me with His loud highlighter,
But Satan could always stop by and splash on me his blotches of ink.
Even when I had a few morals strait,
I was not a brick house I must admit,
God’s highlight was still virtually invisible on my heart,
Yet Satan could put coats and coats of black paint on my walls.
It was only when I decided to humble myself before the Lord,
Only when I was soft as paper and white as snow could God’s highlighter really shine through.
Of course, now, I am most vulnerable to Satan’s cursed, deceiving ink,
I could drown in it if God’s highlighter hadn’t pointed me true.
But I also see that God wants to do more with me than just highlight.
If I am as willing as my thinness tells,
God will move me, fold me and do the unordinary.
You see, it is not a contest to be the strongest,
Yet it is a love for our God.
The softer and lighter we are, the more He can mold and paint us in His Love.
There I want to be drowned!
“With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”
—Matthew 19:26b
