Spiritual Biography

Spiritually as a child I fought to understand God, his ways and his Holiness. Growing up my parents taught my brothers and me about God’s laws and precepts. Oddly my parents seldom attended church though they emphasized and instilled the fear of God within us. As I approached my adolescence I opted to attend church, taking with me my younger brother. Throughout my years I have always desired to be in the presence of the Lord among his corporate body of believers. My Mother and Father were very accommodating in carrying me to the house of the Lord; upon my request each Sunday I would be delivered and picked up. After high school I relocated for college and consequently I strayed for a moment from my church roots never really finding and settling into a spiritual home. I sought God in his word on my own but experienced great difficulties, as our relationship was torn and broken because I was still an unsaved sinner.

I left home at 17 years old and struggled spiritually until I was 23 yrs old; at 23 yrs old I got a call from the Lord and I answered him. In May of 2003 I accepted the Lord and in July of 2003 I found my spiritual home in Christian Cultural Center Brooklyn, New York pastured by Dr. AR Bernard. Wilderness experiences and long periods of winter and brokenness made my Christian walk very intense very early on. I was tested and tried in certain areas of my life, resulting in a potent spiritual cleansing.



God has begun to shape me by breaking me and making me again. Over these past two years God has revealed his purpose for my life. I am currently walking by faith in what I believe God has called me to do. Attending seminary school will be instrumental in furthering my knowledge base of the word of God.

Much of my spiritual growth thus far has taken place in my personal life, specifically in the areas of interpersonal relationships and self revelations. Trails and tribulations have brought me into a working knowledge of the principles and precepts given in God’s word. There was and still is a daily struggle for me rather Christ in me to overcome inaccuracies in information within my mind. Recently in the spring of 2005 I have taken Christian life course offered by Billy Graham ministries, this is just the beginning and I anticipate taking more growth groups and training courses.

At first glance I appear to be young; however my life experience has heightened my maturity and outlook on life generally and spiritually. The bible tells me to seek wisdom and ask for understanding; I have taken hold on that command given by God. I have sought to seek his will and desire for my life and surely he is unfolding and revealing to me as he directs my steps. With the leading of the Holy Spirit I have become very aware of my self and others and how to deal with difficult persons. The Holy Sprit has given me the ability to discern what spiritual forces are behind things people say and do including myself. My daily story is the desire to continually walk and grow in the spirit.
