If you don’t hear the word
What have you to fight
When confronted by the deeds of the devil
The Word of God
Is the sword of the Spirit
The playing field of life isn’t level.

The word of God
Will tip the scales
For darkness can not overcome the light
Pick up the sword of the Spirit
It is the Word of God
And you will surely win every fight.

If you don’t read the Word
To seek more knowledge
How will you win if you don’t learn
The devil is tempting
And sin leads to death
Your faith and hope for life will burn.

Pick up the sword
Of the Spirit
And carry it throughout every day
Have faith in the Word
The Word is the power
And the devil will stay out of your way.
