What a great salvation day!!

What makes a day great and worth to be remembered? Whenever something unique, important or a tragedy happens at a particular day, people tend to remember the day. We remember the day we wed, our birth days, the death days of our loved ones and, oh the list is endless. Although we remember all these days, I believe that there is one greatest day of all worth to be remembered by every believer. To me this greatest day was the day I met and received Jesus Christ as my personal savior. That is the great day when I became a child of God and my sins were forgiven. I was washed with the blood of Jesus. I call it my spiritual salvation day. The poem below was my prayer of thanks to God when I realized that I was living a crooked life and I allowed Jesus into my life for a change and a new beginning. If you are not yet a believer just ponder on this poem and ask God for forgiveness. Join a church or a Christian group in your area and let God control your life. God is ready to forgive your sins even if they are as red as blood. Here we go:

WHAT A GREAT SALVATION DAY!

Bound by the king of deception, the ancient cunning serpent,
We thought we had eyes and could see everything clearly.
Little did we know that our spirits were myopic and about to get blind.
We used to brag about having ears and could hear clearly.
Little did we know that our spirits were completely deaf.
We used to smile and shine, boasting about our riches,
Little did we know our spirits were in dire poverty.
We confidently nodded in satisfaction as we wine and dine,
Little did we know that our spirits were hungry and thirsty.
Though we had everything to our hearts’ desires everyday,
Our spirits were shrinking and groaning in pain every day.
Chained and yoked by evil Devil,
We thought we were poor on earth,
Little did we know that our spirits were poorer.
We thought we had more troubles,
Little did we know that our spirits were in more troubles.
We used to worry that we had no intelligence,
Little did we know that out spirits were lamenting in great foolishness.

AND THEN:

Wow! What a new chapter in our lives?
When a small still voice out of our valley of deception called us;
And a might hand of mercy touched us.
When the sacrificial blood of the lamb cleansed us.
And Jesus the world’s light flashed at us.
When God the father forgave our transgressions.
And we got enlightened in our spirits.

NOW,

We see the goodness of God
We hear the good news of God.
We testify the mighty words of mercy.
We touch the great works of God
Wow! We’re free!!!
