How often do I hear the words,
Yet fail to understand
The depth and awesome breadth
Of the Great I AM?

Almighty God, the Holy One,
Blessed Redeemer, You are..
Purest Light of the world,
Brightest Morning Star.

You are Alpha and Omega,
The beginning and the end,
Mighty One of Israel,
Savior, and our Friend.

Speaking order into chaos,
You are the Eternal Word;
And all of nature heeds
He who must be heard.

Father, unveil my blinded eyes;
Melt this heart now turned to stone.
Restored by Your mercy
To serve You alone.

The day is swiftly coming on
When I see You face to face.
And all that will save me
Is Your gift of grace.

I will tremble in the presence
Of Your might and Majesty..
But its Your love that will
Bring me to my knees.
