Children

Children are wonderful gifts we get from God. We should thank God for such a great gift. It pains me many times when I see these little ones being abused. I really wonder if some people really value these little ones. A great gift is a great treasure and should therefore be valued greatly. It is a duty of all parents to see that their children have food, shelter and health. Children are tomorrow’s leaders and hopes for a great coming future and should therefore be given the care they deserve. I just pray and wish for a world with happy children who are free from sexual abuse, drug abuse, alcoholism and all evils. I just pray for a peaceful world with no wars, which make vulnerable children to suffer greatly. Many children have died in wars. Many have been orphaned even by the A.I.D.S pandemic. They have been left with no one to look after them. They have no food, no shelter, no clothing, and no education to mention just but a few. Ladies and gentlemen let us all join hands for the cause of innocent children who are continually suffering for the sins they did not commit. People from all corners let us give a hand to the suffering children. The poem below is a prayer of my appreciation to God for the lovely daughter he gave me named Praise. Whenever I see and hear her speaking, the praises of God fills my heart. Here we go:


God,
What a wonderful gift on earth you gave me?
A real life present wrapped just for me,
To garnish my already blessed marriage.
A good tide of happiness to carry on wit’ my wife,
A real bundle of brimming joyfulness that lightens up my heart.
The pride of my old age in years to come.
The little one Jesus allowed coming to him.
My little angel, Oh, my beloved chatterbox.
What a sweet rose to bloom in my house?

God,
I’ll play my cards well and do my task as a father.
Though earth’s life swings like a seesaw.
Through thy grace it shall be fixed like a jigsaw,
I’ll mobilize the little I have and work hard wholeheartedly.
And play my part to bring up my dear child.
In the God fearing manner you require.
But for now I’m so glad.
Thank you for the gift of children on earth.
