When believers search for unencumbered love and find only dull, listless existence, we discover an important truth. Just as faith without works is dead, life without heartfelt devotion to the Person of Jesus Christ is death to the soul. Because we hunger so little for His righteousness and subsequent power, we question if this unexplained yearning truly is from our Lord. This gift is a journey’s end, emptied of unrequited love, filled with Agape. But holding on is tough when life beckons abundance, yet still so distastefully slowly. Courage and persistence -- strangers of a noble cause -- knock upon character‘s door, begging entry. But, amid double-mindedness, joy is illusive.

Love is desire, calling, hope, a restful bliss awaiting a filled heart. We categorize love in human terms -- man, woman, child, fame, fortune, maybe even poverty -- but in reality, it’s most profoundly wisdom. In a mindset of healing -- protection, security, nurturing, and acceptance await our renewed Spirit-filled life.

Awareness begins when we pray for understanding, to know, believe, and simply hold on to hope that love indeed exists, where wavering faith questions tomorrow’s reality. We won’t always know how or when our Maker will answer, but, as promised, it will be in His perfect timing. By calling Love His divine Names -- Lord of Lords and King of Kings -- only then can true love evolve. Still, even then, we may hesitate. We fear Jesus, God the Father, our Lord and Savior might not answer, like others having left the rank of warrior, onto cowardliness. When raw pain terrorizes a broken heart, only then do we readily say "yes" to Jesus.

The instant human will agrees with divine wisdom, His sweet protection fills broken, empty places of heartfelt sorrow. Forgiveness, His kindness and suffering at the cross, brings security, as joy permeates His mark of ownership.

On the verge to wholeness, in awe and childlike wonder, we still might doubt, impatiently waiting for fruition of His tiny seed of faith. But as our inner world of mutuality and like-mindedness matures, our gift awaits so in tune with the Light, that we have yet to grasp such divine fellowship.

Our gift appears when we accept ourselves as He accepts us. Accepting ourselves also means committing wholeheartedly to His calling upon our lives, by growing up in Jesus, moving ahead in hope, and reaching out in love. He always beckons, but either we have not spiritually seen, or we resist. Falling into His unconditional embrace, we cry uncontrollably, without judgment, free to be ignorant, knowing we will receive, if we but ask.

For some, walls greater than resistance confine them. Strongholds, those death-defying compulsions, demand rather than invite, as deceitfully driven demons require deep, divine intervention and healing. Since strongholds subtly deny any wrongdoing, demands remain a harsh disciplinarian, cracking the whip of perfectionism. Because accepting Jesus’ invitation is too simplistic, and vulnerably fears exposure, the mind reasons, instead of surrendering the damaged heart to victory in Jesus!

His ability to do exceedingly above all that we ask or think awaits the will refusing to limit the Holy One of Israel. Dreams seem doubtful to the cynic. Impossibilities hunger for possibilities when He puts His victory cry within our hearts. What we deny as character development surfaces as bitterness against hope of believing in the One longing to accomplish His perfect will through us. Only when we utterly fail and admit defeat, do we finally learn that true success is simply union (wholeness, oneness, completion) in and with Jesus.

Like the walls of Jericho, tumbling down through His mighty Word, God longs to destroy our fortresses. Because His Word is Spirit, unencumbered by earthly barriers, He alone eases through shut doors where empty hearts await Agape to fill to overflowing.

To pray for His vision, replete in design and purpose, is to yearn for completion. Thanking Him for everything is our only acceptable sacrifice. To desire Jesus above all (our carnal ending), to invite His best (our God-given destiny), is to express joy for His forgiveness (our true and forever identity -- eternal life).

His direction then empowers us with courage and perseverance. When hungry hearts accept truth, the Lord of Life speaks majestically as King, yet intimately as a gentle friend, deeply committed to His children’s success. This is unencumbered love!
