I strip the layers of doubt
And repent of every wrong thought
For by the shedding of His blood
My own life He has bought

I feel His power flow
Through my body like a surge
Soft currents of life
The rottenness doth purge

I smell the healing power
Cleanse each and every soul
A wind with fingered flames
Reaches out and makes me whole

I taste and see that the Lord is good
And choose and delight in His glory
For He is the holy sovereign Lord
The Father of history

As more of Him enters my life
I cast off fear and sin
For I open my heart
And there He dwells within

Whatever is of good report
Whatever is noble and right
Those things that are praiseworthy
And exceptional in His sight

Whatever things are pure and just
Whatever things are of love
I meditate upon these things
For they come from God above
