“Continue In Righteousness”
Colossians 1:23 says: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled and be not moved away from the hope of the Gospel which ye have heard and which was preached to every creature under heaven whereof I Paul am made a minister;
My thought is continue in righteousness. Brothers and sisters if we continue in righteousness we shall receive a crown that never will perish. The righteousness that lead to eternal life. Many times we focus on our problems instead of the God who can solve our problems. You might be down but quitting is not an option. Bad things should not be allowed to stop us from continuing in righteousness of God. If we choose not the righteousness of God, we choose the wrath of God. We are royalty in Christ a chosen generation. Why would we choose a world that is temporal over the Kingdom of Heaven that is eternal? It is necessary that we remain righteous because we represent Christ who did not quit on us but shed his precious blood that we would be reconciled back to the Father.
All of heaven is watching us as we run this Christian race. We must continue because God has brought us from a long way. Beloved, we are almost home; our redemption draweth nigh.
The Word of God says that Jesus is in Heaven sitting on the right hand of God making intercession on our behalf. I believe that intercession includes that our faith faileth not even continue in righteousness. No matter what how bad it looks I`ll continue in righteousness. No matter what the saints or sinners say I`ll continue in righteousness.Since God invested his Blood in us we should invest our souls in him.
We serve an awesome God. Did you know that it hurts God`s heart when we walk away from him? We have to prove that it was worth it for God to take our sins and die on the cross for us, and giving us another chance and yet another chance to start over again. God`s grace and mercy endures forever beyond human comprehension. God did not have to go to Calvary. He did it because he loved us. So when we choose God and then walk away from him what are we actually saying?
The Children of Israel chose gods made with hands over the God that delivered them out of all their afflictions. He even feed them with manna and quail and they still turned away. How much does God have to do for you not to turn away? I think we owe it to our souls to please a loving father who cares for and loves us. Continue in righteousness. Amen.
