The car is packed.
Drinks, eats, easels, paints.
We're off to find the perfect place
to inspire us, catch the atmosphere
of our wide expanse of bushland.
A place is chosen.
Paints, canvas, table, pallette
are all unpacked.
Next the setting up,
ignore wind and heat.
We stand or sit among the fallen branches.
Birds fly freely
undisturbed by we intruders.
Stately gums surround us
revealing depth of colour in their trunks.
Light flitters through leaves.
The sunburnt grass is at our feet
as well as ducks
that need encouragement with food
to remain in our vision
so they too, can be included
in the scene.
Time goes by, the absorption remains
until the light fades.
Once more all is in the car
including our wet canvas
to later study with a critical eye.
May be the makings of a "Master Piece"!
We dream on -
