I wanted to touch Him
I had heard so many things about Him
I had so many questions
I had to see if they were true

Those men tried to chase me away
But He came over and knelt down before me
He called me by my name
He put His arm around me, and even my soul felt warm

He smiled at me, with a love I had never seen
And His voice was so kind
He told me stories and we sang songs
He made me laugh, and before He left we prayed

I ran home to tell my mother
I had spent a lifetime with God that day
