Christian Living
A disturbing trend has emerged in the past few years. We have changed the Bible to suit ourselves. Denominations and “Christian” organizations have omitted and neglected those scriptures that do not suit their way of thinking. Tongues is an example. It is in the Bible; in fact in 1 Cor 14:39 Paul says “Do not forbid it,” but many do. They want to ignore or rewrite the Bible.
The worst example of this principle is in evangelism. Jesus said: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15) It is changed now to: “Sit in the church and hope someone comes in so we can preach the gospel to them” – usually a diluted gospel at that. You know and I know that non-believers do not come into the church except in very small numbers, if at all. What blindness and stupidity to persist in these tactics.
What an outrage. What a nerve for a church leadership to think they know better than God! It borders on rebellion. The world around us is the result of our foolishness. We read in the Book of Acts how the disciples and apostles followed Mark 16:15 to the letter, and it brought dynamic, supernatural results. The Bible proves that their way – the Jesus way - is right. His way is always the best. Our motto should be: whatever He says, do it.
Admittedly, it’s difficult to tell non-believers. They don’t seem to want to listen. They are rapt in their money, possessions, feathering their nest, the good life, the here and now. There must have been a similar attitude in the apostles’ day: nonetheless they preached the gospel publicly. Because of their determination, God did supernatural things – adding three thousand to the apostles’ number in one day: Acts 2:41.
We must get back to the methods of the Early Church. We must copy their commitment, dedication, boldness, willingness to go to jail, to die for Christ if necessary. Why not, when the eternal destiny of so many is at stake!
It’s time for us all to stop pussyfooting; to stop playing church with all its routines and non-biblical practices, and put-bottoms-on-seats mentality.
We must return to the basics; get serious, get real with God. We have to recognize we are in a spiritual battle. We have to move out as an army against satan, and we have all the power of the scriptures backing us to do it.

I face this frustration daily, so God has led me to initiate a ministry called "On Fire For God" The Spirit is calling and I am praying that there are some that are willing to listen to what He has to say.
