Mother, may I thank you for sacrificing sleep
For waking up to hold me when darkness made me weep

Mother, may I mention how much you mean to me
Without your guiding hands, I don’t know where I’d be

Mother, may I help you the way you helped me so
By searching in my heart for things I couldn’t show

Mother, may I reach you as you reached me inside
You taught me to be humble, my faith never to hide

Mother, may I praise you with honor undefiled
Mother, may God bless you, for raising up His child
