Pondering
on time and chance,
I applied mine heart
to know;
Quite strange
at a glance,
which way shall we go?

The Prodigal Son
in ignorance,
lost through
pleasure and woe;
Wasted all his substance
yet later on
found godly sorrow.

I should warn you
in advance
that in all points
here below;
To bring to remembrance:
Our days upon earth
are a shadow.

Truly
words of the wise
enhance:
Man as he came,
so shall he go.
One event
unto all
without avoidance;
after death,
judgment shall follow.
