Grief
If I Left This World Tomorrow
If I left this world tomorrow but knew today.
The thoughts and the words would still be hard to say.
After your grief is gone and the pain has worn away,
will you still be there to listen to what I have to say?
Will you notice the signs that I leave for you or will you be the one to walk away?
In the warmest of the day, will you feel my cool wind?
It’s the only way I can touch you again.
When your outside and the sun warms your face,
will you know it’s me, holding you in my embrace.
If your pain gets too hard to stand,
I hope you feel comfort when I say that I am holding your hand.
Don’t be afraid to love.
It’s a gift that only some of us are capable of.
Some people are meant to be touched.
I found the Lord and the gift he gave was so much.
There were bigger plans for me in store.
There are so many reasons that each of us are made for.
I never did leave you.
But that you already knew.
Think of me my love, but don’t shed a tear.
Even though you cannot see me,
I am still here.
