JESUS, YOUR LOVE, MY LIGHT

I want to try and find
The words that bring to mind
The feelings and emotions
That put my life in motion

Try though I may
I could never tell it in a day
Of how You loved even me
And gave Your all to set me free

Looking back to how I was lost
Deeper and farther than most
All I felt was pain and shame
And everything around was just the same

I remember how I cried
And to show me Your love You tried
But I couldn’t see through the tears
Your gentle arms around me through the years

But now all is clear
No more living in fear
I see the light and now I know
Your love for me has helped me grow.
