God’s Time

Time comes to us
Like honey
Poured in drizzles and dollops
From God’s eternal pitcher.
Sweet flows carry me to
A Promised Land
Where I sip the milk and
Run fingers through
Golden honey trails
Like a hungry babe
In search of more…
More Comfort…
More Love…
More Joy…

But my clay vessel
Cracks
And honey time drips away
Passing me by,
Attracting locusts.

Yet I believe
In the Potter
And I will wait
And I will learn
How to become a
Vessel sealed

For Him.

My heart longs for heavenly hands
To pour my fullness of time
Out
Like wine at a royal wedding.

And then I will feast with
The King of Kings,
The Lord of Lords.
