Hope Fulfilled Comes Through God’s Word

 “And as for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord: “My Spirit that is upon you, and my words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouth of your offspring, or out of the mouth of your children's offspring,” says the Lord, “from this time forth and forevermore.”
Isaiah 59:21 ESV

God’s word is rich with purpose and promise to meet our every need. Being mindful of those promises in our heart, certainly adds to the measure of  confidence to God’s sufficiency for us. When we call out to our Lord in prayer, our hope can grow calm.

The voice of God’s Spirit and word reminds us; our Savior is our intercessor listening to our  heart’s needs and praises. We are  reminded, that none of us lives for ourselves, as we begin our daily activities. Romans 14: 7-8 Our tasks are about His presence leading us, bringing honor to Him.

How we carry out the day’s activities can be filled with a heart of gratitude, or with desperation. The choice is ours. A case in point, how many have attempted to make an appointment through an automated voice system? Our ‘Artificial Intelligence’ of today’s technology sometimes is threes steps forward, and four steps backwards.

When objects of persevering happen, I am thankful I’m not in charge! The writer of Hebrews reminds me; For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 2:18
 Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. Hebrews 12:3 ESV
You understand, God’s testing the behavior of our heart.

Father, you will test our heart to determine our attitude. What I am most concerned is becoming a doer of your word. For my children and grandchildren to recognize your words of hope in them. Amen
