Poetry
This morning the weather was rather chilly
And the crowd of people refused to speak
But your smile was a ray of bright sunshine
That brighten up the remainder of my week.
I felt the warmth of your facial expression
From the smile that glowed on your face
It said a lot about you as a person
And a loving care I could easily trace.
Through the day I thought of you and your smile
And I wish that you and I had met
Your personality may have touched me
You have a smile that I will never forget.
I wanted very much to have met you
I hesitated to ask for your name
I wanted to extend to you my friendship
And I hope you would have wanted the same.
I believe God will have the final answer
Whether you and I were ever meant to meet
If we don’t, I hope you keep on smiling
And if you see me I hope that you will speak.
What a pleasure it was to just have seen you
I haven’t felt this good in such a while
I don’t know if I will ever see you again
But I just wanted to return your smile.
