Let not sin reign in your body,
Making you obey its passions;
The lust that makes you feel haughty,
In any immoral fashions.

Don’t present your members to sin,
Being pawns for unrighteousness;
Like a cancer it spreads within,
Addiction makes it desirous.

Rather yield yourself unto God,
Those who had brought from death to life;
Be someone to righteously laud,
That He is able to block strife.

For sin shall have no dominion,
Since you are not under the Law;
Silencing sneering opinion,
That might be causing you a flaw.

Not under Law but under grace,
Yield to God as dutiful slaves;
Who will comfort you to embrace,
Blocking any hunger that craves.

You’re servants to who you obey,
Either of sin which leads to death;
Righteousness stops going astray,
Every time that you take a breath.

You should be giving thanks to God,
Because you were a slave to sin;
Obedience from the heart to laud,
The Holy Spirit cleansed within.

You’re committed to His doctrine,
And as a slave to righteousness;
Having been set up free from sin,
In spiritual gloriousness.
