This message that we have heard,
That God is light as I proclaim;
There is no darkness in the Word,
So, I will keep praising His name.

If we say to have fellowship,
While walking in the darkness;
It is not God that we worship,
And it displays in your starkness.

We lie not practicing the truth,
But if we’re walking in the light;
We will would never be uncouth,
He is a blessing in your sight.

Have fellowship with each other,
His blood cleanses us from all sin;
To love your sister and brother,
A new creation to begin.

If we say that we have no sin,
We have deceived ourselves then;
And have been corrupted within,
Because God will surely condemn.

If we confess of our sin,
God who is faithful and is just;
Will forgive and cleanse us within,
Purifying us of our lust.
