I will tell you a mystery,
Not all of us shall fall asleep;
But everyone of us will see,
Of a new change that you will keep.

For in a twinkling of an eye,
When hearing the last trumpet sound;
The dead that no one will deny,
Raised up and being Heaven bound.

They will be imperishable,
As well as we will be altered;
A body that is perishable,
Into one that is not faltered.

A body that is immortal,
No more tempted with corruption;
When we’re taken through the portal,
No more chaotic disruption.

Death is swallowed in victory,
Where is victory from your sting;
Death’s sting is its iniquity,
Power from Law that sin would cling.

But give thanks unto our God,
Who has given us victory;
Through the Lord to erase where flawed,
And cancels out iniquity.
