 Evil not only includes sin, but evil consists of all efforts to make oneself or others “right with God” through human effort and religious traditions of men (Matt. 15: 9), rather than by the one and only means that God has provided (John 14: 6).

Evil can be more dangerous than sin. In our heart of hearts, we all (should) know when we engage in any activity that the Bible labels as sin, whereas evil can be made to appear what God desires or even requires. It is rather easy to NOT feel guilty about this form of evil, if you have been deceived and therefore believe, that this evil is what God requires of you to be saved.

Among these human efforts and activities, are good behavior, good deeds, humanitarian projects, and “religious” rituals that originate, and are the teachings and practices of men. Good behavior, good deeds, humanitarian work and legitimate (consistent with Scripture) religious rituals DO have a place in the POST salvation spiritual life of a born-again believer, but were not, and are not, the means to either obtain, retain, or regain the irrevocable and underserved gift of eternal life.

No wonder why Jesus made praying for the deliverance from (the) evil (one), a key components of what many now refer to as the Lord’s Prayer or the Our Father. What the Bible actually has to say will be the basis on which unbelievers will be judged, and born-again believers will be evaluated.

Scripture (Rev. 20: 13, 15) reveals that unbelievers will be FOUND GULTY of having committed the unpardonable sin, resulting in them spending all of eternity separated from God, the people of God, and the things of God.

No amount of good deeds, good behavior, penance, restitution, or *time in Purgatory will atone for the sin of disbelief. The concept of Purgatory implies that the sin debt of a born-again believer was NOT paid in full as 1John 2:2 clearly teaches.

Purgatory is not only false doctrine, it amounts to a blasphemous insult to the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

By becoming a born-again believer, one is NOT GUILTY of having committed the unpardonable sin, since one has to believe in order to become a born-again believer.

Scripture (Rom. 8: 1) reveals that born-again (John 3: 5, 7) believers are eternally saved and have the assurance of spending all of eternity in fellowship with God upon entering Heaven.

Never-the-less, born-again believers will have their individual post salvation spiritual lives e-v-a-l-u-a-t-e-d, resulting in receiving or forfeiting the additional reward and privileges spoken of in 1Cor.. 3: 12-15 and Revelation Chapters 2 and 3

Eccl. 12: 7 teaches that every soul, believer or not, will come face-to-face with God after departing this world. Denying or disbelieving this fact does NOT cancel this appointment, or what IS going to take place.

Rather each one of us comes face to face with God in the capacity of an unbeliever, or in the capacity of a born-again believer, is the result of a choice that we make here on Earth, to believe or to disbelieve when presented with the unadulterated Gospel Message, encapsulated in John 3: 16. 18.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who *believes in Him will not *perish, but will have eternal life (John 3: 16 NASB2020).”

*Believing” in Him, refers to WHO (God the Son) He is, and WHAT He accomplished on the cross.

Many believe that there had been a 1st Century “man” named Jesus, but deny His deity and reject His claim as being the one and only source of eternal life.

To *perish refers to spiritual death. Spiritual death is not a state of non-existence, but existing while separated from God and the things of God. “The one who believers in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God (John 3: 18 NASB2020).”

If you say you were never presented with the unadulterated Gospel Message, I am here to tell you just were!

The question now is, ”Do YOU believe?”.

If you already were (or now have become) a born-again, Heaven bound, believer, the ongoing question becomes, “Where are you right now, along the road to spiritual maturity?”.
