Old Songs again

Many of those saints who have gone before us were very honest. They were clear and honest about life, about their own lives, and clear and honest about our only hope being in the Lord Jesus Christ.

What a privilege we have to read and to sing some of the songs and hymns they wrote.

As an example, consider Fanny Crosby, also known as Frances van Alstyne. And she was blind for all her 90-odd years, yet she wrote hundreds of songs and hymns.

Hold thou my hand! so weak I am, and helpless,
I dare not take one step without thy aid;
Hold thou my hand! for then, O loving Saviour,
No dread of ill shall make my soul afraid.

As honest and true now as it was over 100 years ago. Jesus. Praise the Lord!
