Scripture:
"The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." – 1 Samuel 16:7 (NIV)
In a world obsessed with appearances, achievements, and status, it’s comforting to know that God sees differently. When Samuel went to anoint the next king of Israel, he was drawn to Eliab—strong, impressive, kingly in appearance. But God stopped him, teaching a powerful lesson: He doesn’t judge by what is seen, but by the heart.
You may feel overlooked, underestimated, or even rejected by others. But take heart—God sees beyond the surface. He sees your quiet faithfulness, your hidden struggles, your desire to please Him even when no one else notices.
God’s gaze is deeper than human eyes. He chooses, affirms, and works through people the world might never expect. David was just a shepherd boy—unimpressive on the outside—but God saw in him a heart after His own.
You are seen, known, and valued by the One who matters most.

God values what others overlook.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to remember that You see beyond appearances. Teach me to live from the inside out, with a heart that pleases You. Amen.
