Turning Point USA Pulls off Largest Crusade in Known History

Sure, it was a memorial but Remembering Charlie Kirk was a Christian Crusade of the highest magnitude.

Bigger than any crusade in history.

Tyler Bowyer, Turning Point COO, said the memorial service for Charlie Kirk, aired live Sunday from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ  was the largest memorial in known history. Streamed on multiple platforms, an estimated 100 million tuned in which doesn’t count the number watching for each stream. The stadium reached capacity and overflow areas filled with some estimates as high as 100,000. Bowyer said on the X social media platform: “It was the most attended, most attempted, most viewed. We had no issues. Glory be to God.”

Spokesman Andrew Kolvert also on X said, “Over 100 million people just heard the Gospel proclaimed again and again by speaker after speaker.”

Exactly.

A Crusade.

I’ve attended a Billy Graham Crusade, the Harvest Festival with Greg Laurie and most recently the PDX Crusade. In fact, several of the musicians who led the worship part of the Charlie Kirk Memorial also led worship at the PDX Crusade.

It felt like a crusade. It looked like a crusade. It sounded like a crusade.

The Charlie Kirk Memorial did not double as the Charlie Kirk Crusade. Instead, I think, the Charlie Kirk Crusade doubled as his memorial. For everything we know about Charlie Kirk, he’d prefer a crusade and the focus on Jesus Christ rather than himself.

One of the first to speak, Pastor Rob McCoy, Charlie Kirk’s pastor, held an alter call of sorts. Inviting those not of the faith to come to faith in Christ. Many stood, accepting Christ as their savior. Though not exactly the same as Billy Graham, Harvest and PDX Crusade calling those to come to the floor and receive Jesus Crist as their savior, many heeded the call from McCoy to stand in a public declaration of faith.

Tucker Carlson, in a most surprising speech, echoed more an evangelical Christian rather than an Episcopalian. I’ve read the critiques. I don’t buy the antisemetic nature, some accuse. He’s a goof, take him for what he is. Even if true, the Holy Spirit came through much stronger than anything insidious in his heart.

Then Frank Turek, the Christian apologist whose videos I used to watch when he taught in a classroom using a single camera setup somewhere (I think) in one of the Carolinas. He used to return my emails. Once his popularity grew, the responses stopped and now a question I’d like to ask him on freewill, he’ll never read! Laugh out loud, people! The esteemed speaker deserves the recognition as his speech at the Charlie Kirk Crusade proved.

President Donald Trump called the memorial an old time revival.

Finally, Erika Kirk. Grace under pressure. Those three words ran to and fro. Still, hearing them seemed inconceivable. It took your breath away. Charlie Kirk died quickly. Jesus Christ died in agony for our sins. Yet He forgives us. I have a hard enough time forgiving the slightest of slights, how does Erika Kirk forgive the man who murdered her husband? I have no idea. A far better woman than I could ever be as a man.

Indeed, forgiveness makes up one of the tenants of the gospel. This fact proclaimed via 100 million streams watched by well more than that number.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then the end shall come - Matthew 24:14.

The Charlie Kirk Crusade accomplished something never done before in history, The gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed throughout the ends of the earth in one day.

Thanks Charlie. So many more now have no more excuse.

Listen Christian, we just took a giant step towards the rapture.

As such, hopefully soon, Charlie reunites with Erika, I meet Charlie and believers embrace the Savior.  

Then we all get to eat!
