A HEART'S CRY

In the silence of whispering shadows of lies, His love echoes.

INTRODUCTION

Some sins feel too heavy to be forgiven. Some regrets scream so loudly, it feels they can never be silenced. I know that feeling well. The weight of believing I had gone too far for God’s mercy. But then, He met me. And what happened next changed everything. This is my testimony — my heart's cry.

The Poem

God… who is God?
Even now, I know so little.
There is more, He is more.

Oh, I am hungry…
A soul aching for His presence.
I am thirsty…
Parched for His living water.

He is my Father.
He loves me when I am shunned,
Finds me when I am lost,
Lifts me when I have fallen,
Hears me when my voice is only a whisper.

No…
He shouldn’t have forgiven me.

My sins…
They were mountains,
Dark and towering.
They were oceans,
Deep and heavy.

I look back—and weep.
Regret is a shadow whispering,
“I shouldn’t have. I shouldn’t.”
I thought,
“I can never be forgiven.
He… He cannot.”

But he said,
“It is little.”

I laughed.
Not in faith — but in mockery, disbelief.
“No… He’s joking.”
“It’s impossible — my sins were heavy.”

Yet in that laughter…
I found Him.
Or rather…
He found me.
And in His finding,
He let me find Him.

Then…
Peace descended like dawn over the night.
He forgave me.

His Word…
It is all God — and His Word.
His Word is medicine for the soul,
A weapon in the battle of the mind.

When we rest in Him —
Trusting,
Hoping,
Believing…

He is there.
Pouring out provision,
Supplying needs beyond thought,
Exceeding even our wildest dreams.

So…
Who is God?

He is more.
Always more.
That is who He is.
That is the Lord.

REFLECTION

I was a sinner — deeply immersed in my sins. It felt like He could never forgive me. What I had done… it was too heavy. Too vast, I thought. But there is one thing we still don’t fully understand: the love God has for us is beyond what we can imagine.

Even now, His love still surprises me, and I have yet not fully understood it. The more I walk with Him, the more I realize there will never be a day I can measure the depth of His love — it’s too high to climb, too wide to cross, too deep to reach the bottom.

It’s really humbling, and even a little funny — that while we are still in our sins, while we think our sins are great, while we feel lonely, unworthy, and hopeless… He loves us even at that time.

The truth is, we often can’t feel His love in those moments because we haven’t yet tried to find our path in Him.That’s what makes us feel alone, unforgivable, too unworthy, and so unrighteous. But the moment we turn our hearts toward Him, we realize He has been there all along — ready to forgive, ready to restore, ready to love without measure.

This is the wonder of grace. It meets us where we are, even in disbelief. His mercy measures our sins not by their weight, but by His love. When we finally stop running and let Him meet us, peace floods in. His Word becomes our healing and our weapon against doubt, regret, and fear. And we discover that God is always more—more loving, more patient, more faithful than we could have imagined.

PRAYER

Lord, thank You for finding me when I was lost. Thank You for calling my sins “little” when they felt like mountains on my back. Help me to always hunger for You, to trust Your Word as my healing and my defense, and to remember that You are always more. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
