Every Morning

Do you want to talk with Jesus
When you get up every day?
Do you tell him, put it clearly
That you need to come and pray?

Do you think it makes a difference
When he says something to you
And you spend some time in thinking
And decide what you must do?

Oh, I’m certain Jesus knows me
Inside out and through and through.
He’s far wiser and more sensible.
All his promises so true.

Help me Lord to feel I need you
Every morning first of all.
Help me Lord to listen always
That today I do not fall.
