Do not Be Men Pleasers.

Text John 12: 35-43.
Introduction:
A man pleaser is that person who does things to make others happy, even if it hurts the person. They have no willpower. They don't know when the light is around them. They walk in darkness. God has blinded their eyes and closed their minds. He makes their mind not to understand so that they will not receive healing. They can only fulfil the desires of others, not minding their integrity, like the entertainers.
No man, pleaser can please God. We are to set our heart on the Kingdom of God and Justice. In John 12:35-43, the Evangelist makes us understand that Jesus knew his public life was coming to an end, and he saw the failure in his people to believe him. And this was long prophesied by Isaiah (Is 53:1-3) of the suffering servant, who will be humiliated and the people wanted a powerful leader not a humiliated savior and this rejection was already foreseen (Is 6: 9-10).
In spite of all the signs performed by Jesus that people did not believe he was the messiah, even now we are still living in unbelief. Jesus rebuked them for their
Unbelief
Their secrecy.
Their lack of commitment
The fear.

Today, we are still living in the same old ways.
Unbelief: Lack of faith n the daily teaches about God, causing us to waver. For without faith in Christ, we can not please God, and if you believe the person of Christ you believe the person of Christ, you remain steadfast. James 1:4-6
Secrecy: We are the light of the world and salt of the earth (Mat 5:13-16)
A man pleaser will deal secretly with things of God in order not to offend people, like Nicodemus. A child of God is salt on a new cruse that changes the nothingness of the water 2kgs 19-21. We carried the prophetic, position for impact, result in inevitable. You can't hide light, and the child of God can't be hidden.
Commitment: Men pleasers can't be committed to anybody. They waver, they were the crowd that shouted Hossana, they were still the ones that shouted, crucify him. Those who pleases men are not to be trusted. They betrayed like Judas Iscariot. They are political. We need courage to serve God Job 1vs9
Fear: The greatest weapon against pleasing God is fear. No man, pleaser that can please God. And fear causes so many things in our Christian faith, such as
Disobedience, i.e., Saul the King.. 1Sam 13: 10-13
Loss of Position, 1Sam 13vs 14.
Cause you to look for men's approval, but we are mandated to bring change. Don't let them bring you to the old.

The old is gone, and you are done looking for men's validation. You are the righteousness of Christ. Don't let that pressure you to submission. You are a new wine.
Fear causes you to be bottled in old wine skin.
Fear causes you to look back, Lk 9:62. Pleasing men will make you look back, Lk 9vs62.
There are different things people fear.
Fear to stand alone.
Fear of being ostracized Ps 27vs 10.
Fear of being shamed( body shaming)
Fear of failure and fear of poverty
How not to be men pleasers.
Have faith in Christ and be free to discuss with Him through the Holy Spirit (John 14vs 27)
Be bold in your faith. Act 3vs 13.
Be prayerful and study the word.
Be focused in Christ and be God dependent and ask God questions, 1sam30vs 8
Let righteousness of Christ be your clock.
Be available for God and not man. Service to God (3Ts)
Be committed and keep from unbelief.
Have self-confidence and above all, know whom you arre 1peter 2:9-10
In conclusion, each time his words come to us through teaching, we are concerned with many things and often do not feel the urge to believe, and this causes us to disobey and neglect the words. It is on rejection or accepting his words in our daily lives that our eternity is decided. May God give us listening ears and a heart to understand through Christ our Lord.
