Has Sin Gone Away?

In Matthew’s gospel, the first word of the ministry of both John the Baptist and Jesus himself, was the word ‘Repent’.
Why?
From Adam and Eve’s failure in the Garden of Eden till now, sin has ruined most of human existence. Sin is disobedience to God.
And God set out his holy law to define sin.
Today that holy law is ignored in so much of the so-called church.
Just look at the state of the Anglican Church here in the UK! They even condone and bless the awful sin of Sodom!
Help, Lord!
Bring back your Holy Law!
Bring back the preaching of ‘Repent!’

“In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!’” Matthew 3:1 NKJV

‘From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”’ Matthew 4.17 NKJV.
