What sexual sins fall into this category of 'self-seeking'???

What can you think of????

We all have different wants in life, we might have 'needing' moment when we lost our spouse or loved ones, we feel so lonely on the inside, there's a hole in us. We might think ..oh having God would not be enough, God is invisible, we cannot touch Him. I just need someone for a hug in my lonely times. It is common for us to feel this way, we are plainly humans. God created us to have all sorts of emotion, either we feel happy, excited, sad, disappointed or even angry. Those feelings we have in us is telling us that we are totally human! Deep down, we have a hole, that hole can bring us loneliness and that hole need to be filled up by God himself. Only God can satisfy our every needs!

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:19​

This particular sexual sin that I am going to address about is for everyone, either you are still single or you are married, no matter how old we are, we might find ourselves struggling with it at times of our loneliness - masturbation. 

I have heard people who have lost their spouse especially, they would prone to masturbate so as to comfort their loss and their loneliness. Or this particular temptation is great towards those that are still single, they longed for a partner in life, they longed for someone to get married to but they are still searching and waiting! Yes, I had been there too, waiting and waiting and I got so hopeless at times, and then turning into a self-seeking, self-satisfying act in the dark. Oh yes, that struggle can last for long even when we wanted to stop it. I experienced long-term defeat on this one, I tried and I tried to kill it off, rebuking it in the name of Jesus but to no avail. Interestingly, the more we try to stop it, the more we tend to fail stopping it. 

After God granted my marriage, many things in me started to change - I no longer yearn for masturbation to fulfill my sexual needs. Not that I am going to say I have a good sexual life with my husband. Not that! As we married at a not so early age, we are both getting quite old now, in our middle age. So, we don't get to have any sexual romance now. I thank God for this good man, he doesn't seem to rely much on sexual needs to satisfy him, he loves me the way I am, he looks at my personality and he loves me. He doesn't love my pretty face, but focus much on my personality and character, praise the Lord!!!! I would say God is the upholder of our marriage! God is....

God is the one who satisfy our every needs. Masturbation is indeed a self-seeking, self-satisfying behaviour. We do it ourselves, think it is the way out for our loneliness and neediness and we do it all in secret, in the dark! Yes, even Christians will struggle with this particular sexual sin. Yes, we are only human, always remember this. So, you won't condemn yourself too much about it. We are in flesh and blood, of course we cannot reject or deny our own feelings. God doesn't want us to become robots, God gave us all, a free 'will'. 

Just that I want to draw your attention to God himself, what God can satisfy you. You can masturbate for years and years, your hole of loneliness would still be there, my friends. It won't go away until you go to God and ask Him to fulfill your needs. 

He is the one that made me whole again, so do you? You too can receive this freedom, this deliverance. Go to Him in prayer, pour out your heart for all your sins, acknowledge how much you need Him today. He will come and aide you. He will be there for you. Ask Him to fill your heart with His long-lasting love, His love would cover everything, amen. 

It's nothing more important than us to seek God daily, ask God for help daily. Let us learn how to rely on Him more and more. He is the God of all provisions! He is a good and generous God.

May we know that He is indeed enough for you and me. All glory and praise be to Him alone.

For the single: I would encourage you to wait patiently for God in this, knowing that when He gives you something, that something would be the BEST for you. God will never give you second best but THE BEST! Trust that He is perfect in His understanding of what you really need in this life! During your waiting time, keep pressing onto God, loving God, serving Him and people around you. Get yourself busy with all sort of good works for His kingdom. Don't look at yourself, pity yourself. God knows the BEST PERSON, that person is the best fit for you only. He is able to draw that person to you in due time. Believe it, Know that God is good.

For the married: I would encourage you and your spouse to pray together, if possible daily. Thanking God for putting you two together. Ask God to bless your sexual life, ask God to strengthen you to prefer your spouse' needs instead of your own. Ask God to cover your marriage by His blood.

For those that have lost their spouse: I would encourage you to seek God, to know that God would satisfy your sexual need, His love is all that you need right now. If God permits, He will send you someone or if not, ask God to sustain your faith in Him. Pray for God's covering upon your body, from top to bottom. Ask God to protect you from all sort of temptation. Praise Him, Adore Him daily. His presence will go before you, amen. 

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. - 2 Corinthians 9:8
