I touched an Angel
As I walked through the streets.
Felt the brush of a hand and wand
Someone close by helping me.
I touched an Angel
As I sat in Church.
The empty space besides me
Was not really a vacant one.
An Angel was worshipping Christ at mass with me.
I touched an Angel
As I hurried to make it through life.
When I needed to slow down a bit,
An angel came to rescue me
I felt the sharing of my load.
I touched an Angel
Though I could not see wings in flight.
Through the humble appearance
A glorious light shone
The heavenly power was strongly felt.
I touched an Angel
When illness crept over me
Healing too swept over me.
When an Angel touched my brow
Held my hand in a tight support
Whispering words of love and care.
I touched an Angel
Collided with one and almost fell
Strong arms gripped and held me.
My soul recognised the divine messenger
In mid flight I felt the safe touch.
