Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

If we pose the question, why must we praise the Lord? We praise God for who He is and His sovereign powers. We praise God for what He has done, is doing, and will do in our lives. More importantly, God provides salvation through our faith in Jesus Christ, who paid man’s sin debt on the cross at Calvary. Praise Him! Praise Him!!

Given all that God has done in our lives, it is worthy of our heartfelt praise. It is the Lord God who wakes us up every morning and rocks us to sleep each night. God keeps us safe as we slumber and sleep, protecting us from the unseen dangers that surround us day and night. The evidence of God’s love, care, and protection is worthy of our praises to Him. 

Psalm 68:4-5 KJV encourages us to praise God by saying, Sing unto God, sing praises to His name: extol Him that rideth upon the heavens by His name Jah and rejoice before Him. 5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in His holy habitation.
