Do Not Retire From Life, A Poem

If you are nearing retirement age, and earning your social security wage,
it's time to plan what you will do with all those years ahead of you. 

Climb your mountains and soar to new heights, finish life strong with all your might.
Don't be idle and just sit at home, and don't allow yourself to be all alone. 

Meet new people in the time you have left, and have some times of leisure and rest.
But set new goals and dream new dreams, and don't settle for less by any means.

You now have time to do what you wish, to play with your grandkids or go fish,
or go golfing and play a round, but whatever you do don't let yourself down.

Forge new paths and soar with eagles, and not to a rest home and live with the feeble. 
Keep yourself sharp and motivated, it's been so long for these years you've awaited. 

You've waited so long to be free and to play, now it's time to make a new day.
a new day of dreams and visions for life, you've been working so hard and paid a price. 

God is not finished with you still, there are things to do to be in His will, 
so, while you are out there having fun, may God say to you, "Your life was well done."
