Encouragement
The Lord, for the umpteenth time, laid the burden of revival amongst His servants in my heart again.
According to His revelation in my heart, the Lord hurts so much to see His servants running after vanity. The Lord hurts so much to see fire brand ministers of His, who, few years back, would preach Christ and Him alone, but now turning into overnight consultants in various fields, ranging from finance, psychology, miracles (which is actually magic), etc. He hurts to see his servants intellectualizing the simplicity of the gospel of Christ with theories and philosophies, after the tradition of the world. Oh, He hurts to see His servants hawking miracles instead of working it by His might!
His servants, who suppose to train up children under them IN THE WAY OF THE LORD are training them in the way of the world. They have become role models of latest trend in fashion. A great influence in championing riches at all cost. When the mother go a whoring, the daughters go prostituting.
Why is the true Gospel scarce on our altars today? Why wont we simply preach Christ and not just all miracles alone? Why are pastors turned motivational speakers for the sake of followership? For how long will we coarse people to give their lives to miracles and not Christ? Should we introduce them to the act without knowing the actor? We tell of His acts, what about His ways? People are left at the level of friendship with Christ, devoid of relationship, let alone intimacy.
God hurts. He hurts more, not because His servants are only running after titles and fame, instead of souls, but because you and I are failing in our responsibilities. Hasn’t it been said in Rom 15:1: “We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves”. Are we doing this? It’s only in the Christendom that we see a fellow brother falling and we help him to fall completely! We judge mercilessly. We criticize as if we are their creator. We slight and make false pity as if we are any better. God will judge them for falling quite alright, but also judge us for not helping them stand when they fall.
“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted”. Gal 6:1. Perhaps the reason why God open your spiritual understanding to see the spiritual decline around you, especially in the spiritual depth of preaching (if you do) is so that you may “restore such an one IN THE SPIRIT OF MEEKNESS; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted”
It is a fact that many of our preachers are wounded in battle. They are only wounded, not fallen, not dead! Why must we kill them with our mouth and judgment? Criticisms and judgment will not bring them up but our prayers.
Look around you. Tune in your T.V. or Radio set, you will hear junks, call gospel. It is all miracles, healings, prosperity, galore. Are all these wrong? No! But the cart must not be taken before the horse. The cart will not drive the horse, but the horse the cart. Miracles and prosperity CAN NEVER bring Jesus, Jesus brings them. They are mere attraction to bring them to Jesus. We must give people Jesus not miracles. The Emphasis should be on Jesus who is both the author and finisher of our faith. People must depend on Jesus more than the mantle, oil, the man of God, church or even miracles!
Friends, God is thirsty for revival amongst His servants. It will not start until you and I stop criticizing and start praying. Pray for revival, first, in the hearts of the spiritual leaders. It’s time to preach to our preachers the message: ‘Yea must be Born Again’. We would preach it on our knees, in love. Agonizing to God for His touch. If the preachers are genuinely Born Again, the followers will, (and other way round) because the anointing flows from the head and a servant is not above his master. It is easy to know what is uppermost in the heart of the preacher: watch his message!
The message of salvation has relatively disappeared from the altar, except when it is given as a condition to miracles, let alone rapture. The gravity of sin has been lessened. Passion for souls have been replaced with passion for materialism. Is this what our Christian faith all about? Paul said: 1Co 15:19 “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” Where is the consciousness of eternity? What of the longing for the crown of glory for them that win souls or the crown of righteousness for them that love his appearing (rapture)? Will titles, status, porche cars, etc, replace the souls of millions dying daily because of our preference for pleasure rather than missions? Will Sunday, Sunday dancing orgies courtesy of the satanic songs called praise and worship give God fragrance? Woe unto them that are at ease in Zion!
God is looking for A MAN who will go. He does not need multitude. If you are reading this and something is tugging at your heart, then He is looking for you. To do what? To stand in the gap. It is not you who will do the job but God Himself but He need you and I to jumpstart it through our prayers. Ezek. 22:30 “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none”.
Let us arise and pray for the fire of revival to sweep across the land. Pray for the flame of revival to burn in the hearts of our preachers. It’s only prayers that move the hand of God to act, not complaints. Satan must loose his grip of deceits on God’s servants. The crave for fame, money, materials, etc must be crushed in their hearts and replace with hunger for more of God. The banner of the gospel must be lifted higher than that of miracles. Miracle is just a segment of the gospel, but the gospel is all encompassing. When you have the gospel, you have miracles, but you can have miracles without the gospel.
Let us stop criticizing and pray for revival to sweep across the land, starting in the hearts of our spiritual leaders, especially those in the pulpit ministry. We must lift them up before God for their works’ sake, and that is why they are the prime targets of Satan. Pray for the rain of fire of revival to come down in torrents, until we are wet and soak of it. Let us declare the kingdom of God and bring down Satan’s kingdom. We have victory in the name of Jesus and through His blood. Start Now!

AMEN! I will agree with you in prayer. Matt.18:19-"Again I say to you that if TWO of you AGREE on earth concerning ANYTHING that THEY ASK, IT WILL BE DONE FOR THEM by My Father in heaven. I believe that is His will too, so it should be NO PROBLEM! Blessings, Sharon
