Be with me in the thoughts
That give life to all other thoughts.
Be with me in the core of thoughts.
Be with me in these thoughts
Thoughts that are of a pleasant past.
Thoughts that are of a present to last
Thoughts that await a future cast.
Be with me in these thoughts
Thoughts that were the sunbeam
Of a morning childhood .
The moonbeam of a youthful evening
A fuller and more intense vision of the night.
Be with me in these thoughts
The people who gave us so much love.
The people who have moved on
To a beautiful Heaven far up in the skies
The people who will live on in our earthly heart.
Be with me in these thoughts
When the soft mud of the earth
And the stillness of the green grass
Tries to pacify a grieving heart,
We see the tomorrow in wait for us.
Be with me in these thoughts
When our spirit has left and flown in joy,
There will be no more fright or pain
For the Master stands with a broad smile
His ams widest open to receive us
We will now live in his house forever.
Be with me in the thoughts
