For quite some time, my road has been filled with sadness, despair, and gloom, but in just a moment the glory of God would fill that room, I take a seat at my usual place, He sits down across from me, I look at Him and see love on His face.

This stranger who saw me and spoke to me as I traveled along my way, now is sitting in my home, with very little to say, and then suddenly, He places each hand on my table, He opens them both, shows me each scar, and immediately, I now see the Father who carried His Son this far, down from the cross, but up from the grave, My eyes are now opened to who this is, The One who came to seek and save.

My eyes beholding the healing power found in each scar, I look down and shed a falling tear, and I then look up again, and I look around to see that the Son of God is nowhere to be found here!

After He vanished out of sight, I left my home to share the good news of my risen Lamb of light, I met a person along the way, I said, Please let me share a word with you, I pray. And to him I then said, Jesus surely is risen from the dead! For He looked deep into my eyes, and the next thing I knew, My eyes were then opened to what the power of God can do.

And then I likewise opened up my hands, and I showed him every scar, and told him how my amazing God has carried me this far, For sometimes we can forget all that God has done, so many victories He has already won.

There is healing and power and grace all found within the hands of God, He knows all that befalls us, He knows well the roads we have trod, and He is ever so touched by every infirmity we face down here, and through it all, down the roads of gladness, of sadness, the road of pain, He is always near.

God gave everything up for us upon this earth, but these roads down here are not the end, they all of them will lead us to our Heavenly Father, Lord, and Friend, In Him we have everything and so much more, We win because of Jesus, and He has so much for us in store.

Praise be only to He, who bore our sins, our shame, our sadness, our pain, and one great day, we will shed it all, and exchange it all, in return for Heaven’s gain.

This is the victory in every scar, every tear, every sorrow, and every fear, all of it shall be washed away, Well done, my children, we will hear our Father say, on that great day, and we at last see Him as He really is, see Him in all of His glory, behold the scars that tell the old story of grace, about the way that was prepared for us, and led us into this moment, while we gaze into the Father’s face.

And throughout the ages, for all eternity, His glory we will see, and we will behold His majesty, we will forever be reminded of every scar, that led both Him and us, so very far.
